TERM 2
*Form will open on Monday, November 13th, 2023.
Students will be completing their option selections for Term 2.
Option selection forms must be submitted by November 19th, 2023.
Students who have not completed their form by this date will be placed into an available class.
It is very important that you sit down with your child to review the course descriptions and fees. We do our best to try and give students one of their top 3 choices, but some options are very popular, and we only have a certain number of spaces, therefore we cannot guarantee choices.
Please note, if students get their first choice in one term, they may not get it again in another term. Course fees, if applicable, will be invoiced once placements have been finalized.
Instructions for completing the option form:
STEP #1 – Make sure ALL users are logged off all Gmail accounts. Have your child log into their Google account using their rvschools.ab.ca email address (firstnamemiddleinitiallastname@rvschools.ab.ca) and their password (student number). If your child cannot remember their student number, please contact the office for assistance.
Problem’s logging in often occur when someone outside the rvschools network is logged into google when trying to access the option form. Only users within the rvschools network have permission to access the form. You need to make sure all users on the computer have logged out of google and then have your child log in to google with a rvschools username and password (Step 1 Instructions).
STEP #2 - Click on the link for your child’s grade level.
STEP #3 – Read through the instructions and option descriptions and then rank the options for each term.

Fees approved by the Rocky View Schools Board of Trustees are posted in the annual fee listing below:
Please Note: For field trips, team, clubs, etc. RVS will only invoice families based on the actual costs of incurred. For optional course fees, applicable revenues and expenses are to be tracked for each course for which a fee has been established. At the end of each school year, if revenues exceed expenses by more than $10 per student enrolled in the course, the school shall refund the surplus funds to the parents of each student.
Payment
All payments are made available to parents using School Cash online. Invoices for fees will be electronically distributed.

Waivers & Refunds
Every school has a waiver and refund process. Upon receipt by the school principal of Form AF5105 Waiver Application parents of students who provide a copy of Goods and Services Tax (GST) credit notice with the names of dependent children listed, will qualify to have their fees waived. Waiver is applicable only to School Established Optional Course Fees. The deadline for submission of Form AF5105 Waiver Application to the school principal is June 30th of the current school year. School principals are responsible for the establishment of a refund procedure for students who are enrolled for a portion of the school year.
