Mrs Masters - Music Specialist

Welcome to a new school year!

Welcome to music at Muriel Clayton Middle School! My name is Mrs Masters and I am excited to extend my warmest welcome to each student at MCMS.

I was originally born in Langley BC. Growing up, I was interested in everything musical, karate, baseball, girl guides, and hockey.

Being a music teacher has been my goal ever since I was a child and I always endeavor to spread the joy of music to all of my students. I graduated with my Bachelor of Music Performance in Vocal Studies, as well as my Bachelor of Education in Music Education from the University of Calgary.

The instruments I can play at an intermediate level include flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto/tenor/baritone saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone, tube, percussion, guitar, ukulele, recorder, drums, boomwhackers, and piano. I choose a new instrument every year to take lessons on, as I want to provide my students the best musical experience possible!

In my spare time, I can be found playing with one of my many animals (two huskies, one pomchi, two cats, and a variety of fish!) and spending quality time with my family-both my at school family and my at home family!
